[color=black]Psycho-Pass (サイコパス Saikopasu?) è un anime giapponese del 2012, scritto da Gen Urobuchi, prodotto da Production I.G e trasmesso su Fuji TV dall'Ottobre 2012 nel blocco noitaminA. In Italia, l'anime verrà pubblicato prossimamente dalla Dynit. Dal 15 aprile 2013 la serie è disponibile senza limiti di tempo in versione originale sottotitolata sul portale PopcornTV, mentre la prima TV avverrà sulla rete Rai 4, prima prevista dal 17 ottobre al 26 dicembre 2013 con due episodi a settimana e poi anticipata al 10 ottobre con un solo episodio a settimana nell'Anime Thursday.

In un futuro prossimo, i progressi tecnologici hanno reso possibile misurare e monitorare con precisione lo stato mentale, la personalità e le disposizioni delle persone usando lo "Psycho-Pass", un dispositivo installato nel corpo di ogni cittadino. Lo strumento viene usato anche per valutare le probabilità che una persona commetta un crimine, misurato dal "Coefficiente di Criminalità": quando questo valore supera un determinato limite interviene la sezione anticrimine della Pubblica Sicurezza, formata dagli Agenti, criminali latenti il cui compito è catturare altri criminali e dagli Ispettori, ufficiali di polizia che monitorano e dirigono le loro azioni. Ispettori e Agenti possono intervenire usando le Dominator, particolari pistole che possono sparare solo a criminali con alti coefficienti.[/color]
